How to copy your Spotify link
Before you shorten anything, grab the link:
- Open the song, album, playlist, artist, or podcast.
- Tap the ⋯ menu and choose Share → Copy link (or "Copy Song Link").
- You'll get a link like
open.spotify.com/track/...?si=.... The?si=tail is Spotify's share tracking, you can keep it or let a shortener clean it up.
Spotify Codes vs QR codes
Spotify has its own scannable "Spotify Code" (the little soundwave bar under the Share menu). It's handy, but it has one big limit worth knowing before you print anything:
Spotify Code
Only scans inside the Spotify app, using its built-in scanner. A normal phone camera won't open it, so anyone without the app, or who just points their camera, gets nothing.
QR code (from a shortener)
Opens with any phone camera. Point, tap, and it goes straight to your Spotify link, which opens the app or the web player. No special scanner needed.
How to shorten a Spotify link
Three steps:
- Copy your Spotify link — the song, album, playlist, artist, or podcast URL (see above).
- Paste and shorten — drop it into the URL shortener and click Shorten. You get a short
pageloot.com/s/link instantly, with a matching QR code that works on any camera. - Share and track — put it in your bio, post it, or print the QR code, then watch the clicks.
Want it branded? Add your own keyword to the link for free (for example pageloot.com/s/new-single).
Why shorten Spotify links
Clean, branded links
Swap a long open.spotify.com/...?si= URL for a short, branded link that looks better in bios, captions, and show notes.
Track the clicks
Spotify doesn't show you click data on links you share. A short link does, basic free, detailed (location, device, time) on paid.
A QR code that works anywhere
Every short link comes with a QR code that opens on any camera, perfect for merch, posters, vinyl, and flyers.
On a paid Pageloot plan, links are also editable, so a QR code on your merch or poster can point to your latest single or release without reprinting anything.
Where to use short Spotify links
- Link-in-bio and profiles — point fans to your latest track, album, or artist page with one clean link.
- Social posts — share a release on Instagram, X/Twitter, or Facebook with a branded link.
- Merch, posters & vinyl — print a QR code on T-shirts, gig posters, stickers, or record sleeves that opens your music on any phone.
- Gig flyers & business cards — let people scan straight to your Spotify on the spot.
- Podcast show notes & newsletters — a tidy link to the episode, plus a QR code for print. → QR code generator
Spotify links + QR codes
Every short link comes with its own QR code that opens on any phone camera, no Spotify app required to scan. Print it on merch, a poster, or a flyer and anyone who scans it lands on your song, album, playlist, or artist page. On a paid plan you can change that destination later without reprinting, so the same QR can always point to your newest release.
