Link to QR Code Generator: Turn Any URL Into a QR Code
Paste any link and get a QR code that opens it. This free URL to QR code generator turns a website address into a code you can download as PNG, SVG or PDF, with your own colors and logo. You can turn a link into a QR code in three steps. No account is needed to download. We may ask for your email address.
What is a link QR code?
A link QR code, also called a URL QR code, is a QR code that holds a web address. When someone scans it with a phone camera or a Máy quét mã QR, the phone shows the link and opens the page in the browser. Nobody has to type the address.
The link can point to any public web page: your website, a landing page, a menu, a PDF, a booking page, a social profile or a video. If your content is not on the web yet, upload it first and use its link.

The generator turns the characters of your link into a pattern of black and white squares. A longer link needs more squares, which is why short links make simpler codes.

The phone camera finds the three large corner squares, reads the pattern and turns it back into your link. iPhone and Android cameras do this without an app.

The phone shows the link at the top of the screen, and one tap opens it in the browser. A dynamic code first passes through a Pageloot redirect, which takes a fraction of a second. That is where scans are counted.
Before you print, scan the code with two phones. Turn Wi-Fi off on one of them to confirm that the page opens for people who are not on your network.
How to turn a link into a QR code in 3 steps
- Copy the full link. Copy it from the address bar, including the https:// at the start. Steps for each device are below.
- Paste it into the generator at the top of this page. Your QR code appears right away. If you like, change the colors, add a logo or add a frame with a short call to action.
- Test, then download. Scan the code with your phone and check that the right page opens. Download PNG for screens and documents, or SVG or PDF for print.

How to copy a link on your phone or computer

Copy the link from the page itself instead of typing it. A link typed by hand is the most common reason a code fails.
iPhone, Safari: tap Share (the square with an arrow), then tap Copy. In Chrome on iPhone, tap the share icon in the address bar, then Copy.
Android, Chrome: tap the three-dot menu, choose Share, then choose Copy.
Computer, Chrome, Edge or Firefox: click the address bar once to select the whole link, then press Ctrl+C on Windows or Cmd+C on a Mac.
Computer, Safari: Safari shows only the site name. Click the address bar to show the full link, then press Cmd+C. You can also choose Share, then Copy Link.
A link in an email or chat: press and hold the link on a phone, or right-click it on a computer, and choose the copy option.
Then paste it into the generator with Ctrl+V or Cmd+V, or tap the field and choose Paste. Check that the link starts with https://.
Long link? Use a short link or a dynamic code
Every character in your link becomes part of the pattern. A short link such as https://example.com/menu (24 characters) fits in a code about 25 squares wide. A link of 120 characters, for example with tracking tags, needs about 45 squares across. These figures use a typical error-correction level.
At the same print size of 2 cm (0.8 in), the squares in the denser code are about half as big. Older phone cameras, small prints and glossy surfaces then fail more often.
Three ways to keep the code simple:
- Shorten the page address if you own the page. A page at example.com/spring is better than a long path full of numbers and letters.
- Use a short link from a link shortener or from your own domain. Check that it redirects to the https version of your page.
- Use a dynamic code. It stores a short Pageloot address inside the code and redirects to your long link, so a link of any length gives a simple code.
Be careful with free shortener links. If the shortener removes the link or your account ends, your printed code stops working. Also remove extras you do not need, such as fbclid or session IDs, before you paste.
Các câu hỏi thường gặp
Copy the full link, including https://. Paste it into the generator at the top of this page and your QR code appears. Scan it with your phone to test it, then download it as PNG, SVG or PDF.
Open the page, then tap Share and choose Copy (on Android Chrome, use the three-dot menu, then Share, then Copy). Open this page in your phone’s browser, paste the link into the generator and download the code to your phone.
To create a QR code for a URL, paste it into the generator on this page. To generate a QR code for a URL and keep it, download it as PNG, SVG or PDF. You do not need an account to download, although we may ask for your email address. Editing the link later and scan statistics need a Pageloot account, which starts with a free 14-day trial.
If your link is long, yes. Long links make dense codes that are harder to scan, especially when printed small. Use a short link that you control, or use a dynamic code, which keeps the code simple whatever the length of your link.
Not with a static code, because the link is part of the pattern. With a dynamic code you change the destination in your Pageloot account and the printed code follows. If the link will never change, a static code is enough.
Yes. On a computer, open the page, click the share icon in the address bar and choose Create QR code. It works well for a quick test. It has no color or logo options, no print-ready SVG or PDF, and no way to edit or track the code.
Two ways work together. Add UTM tags to your link so Google Analytics shows visits by campaign. Use a dynamic Pageloot code to see scans by time, place and device. The dynamic code needs an account, with a free 14-day trial.
Going from QR code to link needs only your phone camera. Point it at the code and the link appears on screen. Tap it to open the page, or press and hold it to copy the link. You can also use a Máy quét mã QR.

Sử dụng mã QR liên kết ở đâu? ví dụ
Nhấn vào hình ảnh để phóng to

Nhà hàng & thực đơn
Put the code on table tents, windows and receipts. Link to the mobile menu, the online ordering page or the reservation page. If you link to a PDF menu, keep the file small so it opens quickly on mobile data. If the menu changes often, a dynamic code lets you change the link without reprinting the tents.

Quảng cáo
Print the code on flyers, posters, magazine ads and direct mail, and link each one to its own landing page. Add UTM tags to the link so your analytics show which ad brought each visit. Tell people what they get, for example “Scan to see the offer”.

bao bì sản phẩm
Link to the user manual, a setup video, warranty registration or the reorder page. Packaging is printed in large runs, so link to a page address you control and will keep for years, or use a dynamic code so you can change the link later.

Sự kiện & hội nghị
Put the code on badges, banners and slides. Link to the schedule, the speaker list, a registration form or a slide deck. Event Wi-Fi is often slow, so link to a light page that loads fast on mobile data.

-
Add UTM tags to campaign links
UTM tags are short labels at the end of a link that let Google Analytics show where a visit came from. Example: https://example.com/sale?utm_source=flyer&utm_medium=qr&utm_campaign=spring-sale. Use lowercase, no spaces, and the same names every time. A dynamic Pageloot code adds scan counts: when, where and on which device. -
Use one code per placement
Make a separate code for the window poster, the flyer and the table tent, each with its own utm_content value such as utm_content=window. Then you can compare placements, not just campaigns. Tags make the link longer, so shorten it or use a dynamic code.
-
Tell people why to scan
Put a short line next to the code, such as "Scan to see the menu" or "Scan to book". People scan when they know what they will get. -
Put it where people can scan it
Place the code at eye level on a flat, well-lit surface. Avoid curved bottles, folds and shiny glass that reflects light. Make sure the page you link to loads fast on a phone.
Link QR code not working? Check these first
Scan the code and read the link on the screen. Look for a typo, a missing https:// at the start, or a space at the end. Use https:// instead of http://: an http link can show a “Not secure” warning or fail on sites that require https. Copy the link from the address bar instead of typing it.

Pages behind a login, private Google Drive or Dropbox files, intranet pages and links that start with localhost show a sign-in screen or an error to everyone except you. Set sharing to “Anyone with the link” and test on a phone with Wi-Fi turned off.
Long links make dense codes that are hard to scan. Remove tracking extras you do not need, use a short link, or use a dynamic code. See the section on long links above.

Print the code at least 2 x 2 cm (0.8 in), and larger for scanning from a distance. Use dark squares on a light background. Leave a blank border around the code, at least the width of four squares, and do not stretch the image. A large logo in the middle can also stop it from scanning.
Static or dynamic link QR code, and Chrome's built-in option

A static code holds your link itself, with nothing between the scan and your page. You can download it without an account. It works for as long as the page at that link works. You cannot change the link afterward, and it does not collect scan data.

Use a static code when the link will not change and you do not need scan numbers. A business card that points to your website is a good example. Do not pay for features you will not use.

A dynamic code holds a short Pageloot address that redirects to your link. You can change the destination after printing, and you see when, where and on which device people scanned. It needs a Pageloot account. Tick Chỉnh sửa sau hoặc là Theo dõi quét ở trên để bắt đầu dùng thử miễn phí 14 ngày.

Choose dynamic for printed material that is hard to replace, such as packaging, signs and ads. It also helps when you want to compare placements, or when your link is very long. The Starter plan is EUR 7 per month billed yearly, and the code NEW30 gives 30% off your first purchase. See the trang giá cả for details. More on this in mã QR tĩnh và động.

On a computer, Chrome can make a QR code for the page you have open. Click the share icon in the address bar and choose Tạo mã QR. It is quick for a one-off. The limits: it only works for the page that is open, you cannot choose colors, add a logo or a frame, and it saves an image only, with no SVG or PDF for print. It also cannot be edited or tracked later.

Same page for good and no stats needed: a static code is enough. Printed material you cannot easily replace, or a campaign where you need to know what works: use a dynamic code. A quick code for a screen or a test: Chrome’s option is fine.
