How to customize your LinkedIn profile URL (free)
For your profile specifically, you don't need a shortener — LinkedIn lets you set a custom public URL for free, so you can turn the default link (full of random numbers) into linkedin.com/in/your-name. This is easiest on desktop:
- Click Me at the top of LinkedIn, then View Profile.
- Click Edit public profile & URL in the top right.
- Under Edit your custom URL on the right, click the pencil icon.
- Type your custom URL (3–100 letters or numbers, no spaces or symbols) and click Išsaugoti.
When you need a link shortener instead
A shortener does the things LinkedIn's custom URL can't. Reach for one when you want to:

Cleans up your profile link only. No click tracking, no QR code, no editing the destination. Set it once and you're done.
Link shortener (Pageloot)
Shortens any LinkedIn link — posts, articles, company pages — plus tracks clicks, adds a QR code, and (on paid) lets you edit where the link points later.
LinkedIn post and article URLs are especially long because they include activity IDs. Shortening turns that wall of characters into something clean you can share anywhere.
How to shorten a LinkedIn link
Three steps:
- Copy the LinkedIn link — open the post, article, or company page, click the ⋯ arba Dalintis menu, and copy the link.
- Paste and shorten — drop it into the URL shortener and click Shorten. You get a short
pageloot.com/s/link instantly, with a matching QR code. - Share and track — post it, send it, or print its QR code, then watch the clicks.
Want it branded? Add your own keyword to the link for free (for example pageloot.com/s/my-article).
Why shorten LinkedIn links
Clean, professional links
Swap a long activity URL for a short, branded link that looks credible in posts, comments, and outreach.
Click tracking LinkedIn won't give you
LinkedIn doesn't show you click data on the links you share. A short link does, basic free, detailed (location, device, time) on paid.
A QR code too
Every short link comes with a QR code, ideal for slides, business cards, and event banners.
On a paid Pageloot plan, links are also editable, so a link you've shared in a post or printed on a banner can point somewhere new without you touching the original.
Where to use short LinkedIn links
- Posts and comments — share an article or landing page with a clean link instead of a long URL.
- Your profile's Featured section and "Contact info" — point people to your site, portfolio, or booking page with a trackable link.
- Outreach and InMail — a short, branded link looks more trustworthy in a cold message.
- Cross-platform — share your LinkedIn post or company page on X/Twitter, „Instagram“, or email with a tidy link.
- Slides, decks & print — drop the link's QR code on a presentation or business card. → QR kodo generatorių
LinkedIn links + QR codes
Every short link comes with its own QR code. Put it on a conference slide, a business card, or an event banner and anyone who scans it lands on your LinkedIn profile, post, or company page. On a paid plan you can change that destination later without reprinting, so the same QR can point to your latest article or campaign whenever you want.

LinkedIn’s custom URL only cleans up your profile link, with no tracking or QR code. A shortener works for any LinkedIn link — posts, articles, company pages — and adds click tracking, a QR code, and editable destinations on paid plans.
LinkedIn post and article URLs include long activity IDs, which makes them messy to share. Shortening turns that long string into a clean link you can post, send, or print.
