Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include but are not limited to local storage, session storage, flash cookies, HTML5 cookies etcetera. Local Storage stores data with no expiration date and gets cleared when the browser cache/ local storage is cleared. The session storage stores data only for a session, meaning that the data is stored until the browser (or tab) is closed. Data is not transferred to the server
Cookies set by the Site owner or service provider (in this case, Pageloot) are called “first party cookies”. Cookies set by parties other than the Site owner are called “third party cookies”.
